We’re living in a fractured age. Unchecked faith in markets and the worship of modern capitalism have lead to disenfranchisement, increasing inequality, and political polarization. Things no longer have inherent value, but only exchange value. Our answer to the question “Who am I?” is based on a misrepresentation of what it means to be human.​
Modern capitalism asks, Will it sell? Will it win? Will it defeat the opponent? These obsessions drive the world we see around us. But judging the worth of Creation by its ability to generate profit or “one up” the other, leaves us lost and lonely--without the ability to see the inherent value in ourselves and others.
​In this world of chaos, confusion and despair, the opportunity for transformation is enormous.
All the great wisdom traditions tell us that wounding is part of healing, and death is precursor for life. As American mystic Howard Thurman described it, we yearn to hear the “Sound of the Genuine” in ourselves – our true song, the truth of who we are.

A World Apart
BellaTerra is located along the Pacific Coast, in the magical pueblo of Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Founded as a mission in 1724, Todos Santos truly lives up to its magical moniker. The old-world, small-town aura attracts artists and seekers from around the globe. The town plays host to an assortment of festivals and events (food and wine, music, mountain biking) and retreats in many forms. The natural beauty is unique and unparalleled, with the Tropic of Cancer running through the town’s desert landscape. It also happens to be a prime location for witnessing the annual gray whale migration!
Easily walkable, the heart of town features an eclectic array of galleries, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, casual eateries, and gourmet restaurants.
Todo Santos is in the midst of a development boom, and was featured in the May 2017 online issue of Vogue magazine: “Why Everyone You Know is Suddenly Going to Todos Santos, Mexico.” In late 2018, Forbes magazine posed the question, “How Long Will Todos Santos Remain Mexico’s Best Kept Secret?”
At Home Away
BellaTerra was designed and built by the locally renowned architect, Rafael del Toro. The two-story estate includes: custom furniture, marble and tile accents, pool with swim-up bar, broad expanses of covered and uncovered terraces, alfresco dining and seating areas, unobstructed ocean views and beach access.
There are five bedrooms (four with en-suite), one additional full bath and a powder room. The great room features a traditional adobe fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. The game room boasts a regulation pool table. The property is WiFi enabled.
